Future Audio Workshop (FAW) got in touch with us to announce Circle 2.1, the first major update to their flagship synthesizer (see our FAW Circle 2 review).
When Future Audio Workshop first hit the scene with its Circle synth back in 08, we gave it high marks for wrapping a respectable amount of power and flexibility into a user-friendly interface. We were less thrilled with the mediocre presets, though, which did little to show off its capabilities. App Sound has released Synth Circle, a collection of patches for the Mono/Poly software synthesizer by Korg. 28 and the new 1. This emulator even works with the legit version but we recommend you to use R2R releases. TEAM R2R KORG Software Pass Emulator v1. The result of a partnership between programmers, mathematicians, audio professionals and visual designers, Circle made waves upon its initial launch in 2008 for its ground-breaking user interface, which foregoes the industry's typical skeuomorphic approach to digital design.
Instead, Circle's intuitive interface reimagines how modular synthesis can look and work in the digital world with a very visual approach to sound design.
